POCtix is a Stripe-native ticketing service for bars, venues, livestreams, and event hosts. Flat $2.00 per ticket. Money lands in your Stripe account, not ours. No percentage skim, no payout delays, no platform lock-in.
Most ticketing platforms take 7-10% plus a fee, hold your money for a week, and email your customer like they own them. POCtix doesn't.
Stripe Connect destination charges. Every sale lands in your account on Stripe's normal payout schedule. We never touch your funds.
Same fee on a $5 cover and a $250 VIP table. No tiered pricing. No "service fees" stacked on the buyer. Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ is the only other cost — and that's Stripe's, not ours.
Open tickets.portofcams.com/scan, paste your scanner token, point the camera. Two-second debounce, vibrates on bad scans, every scan logged with the staffer's email.
When a customer refunds, their QR code is voided automatically. Capacity releases. Nobody walks in on a dead ticket. Full audit trail per scan.
Every buyer email is yours. CSV export anytime. We don't market to your audience. We don't run "discovery" ads on top of your event.
GA, VIP, table, comp, early-bird, member — set as many tiers as you want per event. Each tier has its own capacity, price, and validity window.
We didn't build this for one kind of event. We built it for the door.
Friday cover, DJ residency, after-hours. Sell tiers (GA / VIP / table). Door scans on the bouncer's phone.
Reserved or GA. Multi-night runs. Will-call lookup at the door. Refunds void cleanly if the show cancels.
Tour operators, surf lessons, cooking classes. Set valid_from / valid_until per session. Cap per slot.
Sell access to a live cam, virtual event, or stream. Buyer gets a signed URL after payment. See the Livestreams section.
Recurring access (gym, climbing wall, members' bar). Long-lived QR. Same scanner. Same dashboard.
Donor dinner, alumni mixer, brewery release party. Comp tickets for sponsors. Attendee names per seat for the guest list.
Physical capacity has a ceiling. Virtual doesn't. When your room sells out, open a second tier — a virtual ticket that streams the night live to everyone who couldn't get through the door.
POCtix sells the virtual seat at the same flat $2.00. PortOfCams Pro streams it. No cap on how many virtual tickets you move. The room being full just became the start of a second revenue stream.
See PortOfCams Pro| In-room tickets × 200 × $20 | $4,000 |
| Virtual stream tickets × 350 × $8 | $2,800 |
| Total night | $6,800 |
Virtual buyers get a stream link that activates at showtime via their QR token. Works for DJ nights, live music, comedy, spoken word — any live experience people want to watch from home.
POCtix handles paywalled streaming the same way it handles a bar cover. Customer pays, gets a QR token, your stream endpoint validates the token before serving the HLS URL. Tokens can expire on a schedule or after first use.
We use it ourselves at PortOfCams Pro to gate live surf cam access. Same plumbing works for a virtual concert, a paid replay, a sports stream, or a webinar.

Yes — Stripe is how the money gets to you. If you don't have one, signup takes about 10 minutes at stripe.com. It's free; you only pay Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction (same as if you'd taken the card yourself).
You don't need one. Every venue gets a hosted calendar page at tickets.portofcams.com/venue/your-name and each event has its own hosted buy page. Put the link in your Instagram bio, on a poster, in an email — anywhere.
No. They pay through Stripe Checkout (no account needed), then get their QR codes by email. At the door they show their phone or a printout. That's it.
Refunds go through Stripe like normal. When a charge is refunded, the corresponding QR codes are voided automatically and the capacity is released — so nobody walks in on a dead ticket and you can resell the seat.
Yes. Admin can issue comp passes from the dashboard — free, full-access tickets for plus-ones, sponsors, staff, or guest list. They scan the same as paid tickets and show up in your reporting separately.
By default, POCtix adds zero service fee on top of your ticket price. You can choose to pass the $2.00 to the buyer or absorb it yourself — your call, set per event.
No. Buyer emails belong to you. We never market to your customers. CSV export is one click from the admin. If you ever leave POCtix, you take your list with you.
Card data never touches our servers — Stripe Checkout handles it. That makes you (and us) PCI-DSS SAQ A compliant by default. Every scan is logged. Refunds void passes automatically. Admin is behind HTTP Basic + we're adding magic-link auth.
