POCtix for Maui venues.

Flat $2.00 per ticket. Hawaii-built, Hawaii-supported. From Kīhei sunset events to Pāʻia music nights to rebuilding Lahaina.

Local team · Inter-island aware · Mālama Maui

Maui's event scene is unlike anywhere else — luxury-resort wedding industry on one side of the island, indie surf-town music venues on the other, rebuilding Lahaina community gatherings, Upcountry food + farm events, and a year-round tourist economy that means a Wednesday in February can be busier than a Saturday on the mainland. POCtix supports all of it at the same flat $2.00 per ticket. No "tourist-area surcharge," no Maui-specific upcharge, no monthly platform fee.

Where on Maui we work

Kīhei

South Maui condo + bar belt. Sunset events, beach park gatherings, fundraisers at South Shore venues, Kalama Park festivals.

Wailea + Mākena

Resort + wedding territory. Hotel ballroom galas, private estate events, corporate retreats, charity benefit dinners.

Pāʻia + Hāʻiku

North Shore music + art scene. Pāʻia Plantation event venues, indie music nights, surf-culture gatherings, Charley's-area shows.

Upcountry (Makawao, Kula, Pukalani)

Farm-to-table dinners, ranch events, country music nights, art studio openings, Kula Lodge gatherings.

Lahaina (rebuilding)

We support Lahaina-area venues at any scale during rebuild. Community fundraisers, displaced-venue pop-ups, recovery events. We waive setup time for Lahaina nonprofits.

Wailuku + Kahului

Central Maui civic + cultural events. Maui Arts & Cultural Center neighborhood, county-affiliated events, community fundraisers.

For Lahaina-area operators

If you're rebuilding a venue, running a benefit, or operating displaced from your pre-2023 location, we want to help. POCtix doesn't charge setup fees, monthly fees, or any platform fee beyond the flat $2.00 per ticket sold. For Lahaina-area nonprofit fundraisers we'll work with you on individual event basis to absorb the $2.00 entirely — email [email protected] with "Lahaina" in the subject line.

What it looks like to switch

15 minutes per event:

  1. Apply at tickets.portofcams.com/for-venues — same-day approval during HST business hours.
  2. Connect your Stripe (10 min if you don't have one — need your Hawaii business EIN + bank routing).
  3. Create your event. Set ticket tiers, capacity, upload your venue logo + event image.
  4. Share your event link — Instagram, mailing list, posters, concierge.
  5. Door staff scans QRs on their phone at the event.

Local example: a Pāʻia music night

A Pāʻia bar running weekly Thursday live music with $15 covers, ~80 tickets per night, 50 weeks — about 4,000 tickets a year. Eventbrite annual platform fees: ~$9,380. POCtix: ~$9,400. At a $15 cover it's basically a wash — a flat $2.00 and Eventbrite's percentage land within pennies of each other, and POCtix only pulls clearly ahead as your ticket prices climb. At this price point we don't win on the headline fee — we win on no-buyer-fee, faster payouts, and your-own-data. Honest math means honest answers.

Common questions from Maui operators

Are there flat-fee platforms cheaper than POCtix for low-cover Maui events?

At average ticket prices under $15, Eventbrite's percentage model can actually beat our flat fee. The math flips around $15-20 average. If you're consistently selling sub-$15 covers, run the numbers honestly in our calculator — sometimes the answer is "stay where you are." We'd rather you know.

Does POCtix work for wedding ticketing at resort venues?

Yes — many wedding planners use ticket-style RSVP tracking. Create an "Aloha Reception" event with a "Guest" ticket type, send the link to invited guests, they "buy" their $0 ticket = RSVP. You get a clean attendee list with QRs for check-in.

Can I run multi-day retreat ticketing (3-day yoga, 5-day surf camp)?

Yes — single ticket covers the multi-day package. QR scans on day 1 at check-in. Add multiple ticket tiers if you offer different accommodations / meal packages.

What about Hawaii GE Tax on tickets?

POCtix doesn't auto-calculate GET. Hawaii businesses are responsible for GET on event admission per HI Dept of Taxation rules. Talk to your accountant about whether to absorb GET in your ticket price or pass it on. Either approach is supported — we don't enforce one model.

Do you support Hawaiian language event titles?

Yes — full UTF-8 ʻokina + macron support everywhere event text appears.

Honest pricing. A flat $2.00 per ticket — that's all POCtix takes, whether the ticket is $5 or $500. You pay the same standard card processing (2.9% + $0.30) you'd pay on any platform, and the money lands straight in your own Stripe account. No percentage cut, no buyer-facing service fee — so on a typical event ticket your all-in cost lands well below Eventbrite, and the savings grow the higher your ticket price.
