POCtix for Oʻahu venues — island-wide.
Flat $2.00 per ticket from Town to Country to the Windward side. Built in Honolulu, supports every venue on the island regardless of zip code.
Oʻahu isn't one market — it's six or seven, each with its own pace. A Hale'iwa beach bar runs a different show schedule than a Kapolei country club, which runs a different show than a Kāne'ohe community theater. POCtix doesn't try to flatten all of these into a single mainland-template ticketing experience. We're built by a Honolulu team that drives the H-1 to North Shore on weekends and knows the difference between a Lanikai sunset event and a downtown gala.
Where on the island we cover
Honolulu (Town)
Waikiki, Chinatown, Kakaako, Downtown, Ala Moana. Covered in depth on the Honolulu page.
North Shore
Haleʻiwa, Pūpūkea, Waialua, Sunset Beach. Surf-season events, food truck nights, beach bar shows.
Windward
Kailua, Kāneʻohe, Lāʻie. Community theater, church concerts, ocean-front fundraisers, neighborhood association galas.
Leeward + Central
Kapolei, ʻEwa, Mililani, Wahiawā. Country clubs, military-base events (off-base venues), suburban event halls.
Pearl + Aiea
Hickam-adjacent venues, Pearl Highlands events, Aiea community center shows.
South + East Shore
Kāhala, Hawaii Kai, Hanauma corridor. Hotel events, private club fundraisers, sunset-cruise ticketing.
Why island-wide matters
If you book bands that play multiple Oʻahu venues across a single week — say, a touring act at Hawaii Theatre Friday, then a smaller follow-up at Hale'iwa Saturday — POCtix handles both from one Stripe account with one dashboard. You're not creating two different platform accounts because you crossed the Koʻolaus.
The same applies to series events that move around the island: First Friday Chinatown art walk happens in town; community theater might do a benefit at Paliku next weekend. Same ticketing platform, same buyer email list, same scanner. Our admin doesn't pretend each event is a separate business that needs its own subscription.
Already running on POCtix on Oʻahu
- AlohaCalendar — multi-venue O'ahu events calendar. Visit
tickets.portofcams.com/site/alohacalendarfor the current event listings. - PortOfCams Pro — flagship for premium events.
- Small bars + pop-up venues across Town, North Shore, and Windward — operators kept anonymous unless they want listing.
Island-specific things we handle that mainland platforms don't
- The H-3 / Pali commute reality. If your event starts at 7 PM in Kailua and your buyers are coming from town, late arrivals are normal. Door staff can scan QRs all night without a "doors closed" cutoff. We don't auto-expire passes after start time.
- Surf forecast cancellations. North Shore winter events sometimes move or cancel based on swell + safety. Our refund flow voids QRs instantly when you Stripe-refund.
- Tradewind weather. Outdoor events on Windward side get rained out occasionally. Refund-all-and-reschedule is one click from the admin.
- Hawaiian language event titles. Full ʻokina + macron support across event names, ticket types, emails.
- Cash-heavy walk-up culture. Many local events still take cash at the door. We don't try to force everyone into pre-pay — POCtix handles your pre-sold buyers cleanly while you take cash from walk-ups.
What it looks like to switch
15 minutes per event:
- Apply at tickets.portofcams.com/for-venues — same-day approval most of the time.
- Connect Stripe (10 min if new; instant if existing).
- Create your event. Set ticket tiers, capacity, image.
- Share the link — Instagram, mailing list, posters with QR.
- Door staff scans on their phone.
Local example: a North Shore tap takeover
A Haleʻiwa-area brewery running monthly tap takeovers with a guest brewery and food trucks. $20 entry, 150 tickets per event, 12 events a year. Eventbrite annual fees: ~$3,800. POCtix: $2,700. The bigger win was eliminating the buyer service fee — North Shore visitors are highly fee-sensitive and the brewery saw conversion lift after switching.
Common questions from Oʻahu operators
Do you support venues outside of Honolulu proper?
Yes — every zip code on Oʻahu, regardless of distance from town. The platform doesn't care where you are.
What about inter-island events (Oʻahu + Maui + Hawaii Island)?
Each event is independent. If you're a promoter doing an O'ahu show Friday and a Maui show Saturday, you'd create two events under your single POCtix account. See the Maui page for island-specific notes.
Can I run events at North Shore venues that don't have a fixed address?
Yes — venue is a free-text field. "Sunset Beach Park," "Backyard at [host name]'s place, address sent on purchase confirmation," etc. all work. For private-address events, set the address to release in the confirmation email after purchase.
What about military-base events?
On-base ticketing is typically restricted to MWR systems. Off-base venues serving military personnel (Hickam Beach Adjacent, Pearlridge events) work normally on POCtix.
How quickly does payout hit my Hawaii bank?
Standard Stripe payouts are next-business-day to your bank account. Hawaii banks (Bank of Hawaii, First Hawaiian, Central Pacific) all process Stripe ACH normally. After a 7-day initial hold for new accounts, money typically clears overnight.
